Wesleyan Giving
For more than two decades Wesleyan University has had a deeply meaningful partnership with the Middlesex United Way. Since 2001, Wesleyan employees have contributed over $2 million to the organization and volunteered countless hours to its programs which provide critical support to residents across Middlesex County.
Last year alone, 260 of our friends and colleagues at Wesleyan made contributions, which in-turn helped the Middlesex United Way:
- Provide $300,000 in funding for education, housing, health, and economic supports and programs.
- Fund the 211 statewide toll-free helpline which fielded 9,454 calls from Middletown residents.
- Provide continued financial support to the Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The Middlesex United Way is a locally based, volunteer-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening lives, helping people, and improving community conditions in the 15 towns in Middlesex County. The United Way partners with local agencies and organizations to provide critical services and programs, while it seeks solutions to chronic community problems. The organization focuses on education, income, health, housing, and racial equity and inclusion. You can learn more about the Middlesex United Way here. Please consider making a donation today!
