Endowed Summer Grant Fund

Wesleyan Israel and Jewish Student Life Summer Grants assist students in financing summer experiences related to Jewish and Israel studies (Israeli history and culture) and/or contemporary Jewish life. Funds can be used for unpaid internships, educational experiences, transportation, tuition, rent, program fees, etc. Upon return, the awarded student(s) will be asked to share their experiences with the rest of the Wesleyan community in a meaningful way. Awards are made up to $4000 per experience. Students are discouraged from taking language courses that are currently being offered on campus.

Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors are eligible to apply.

How to Apply
To apply, eligible students must fill out and upload a complete grant application and submit all documents along with their professiona l resume to the Wesleyan Grant: WIJS posting in Handshake. Please note: Your resume must be approved on Handshake by the Gordon Career Center in order to apply.

Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated on the basis of:
1. Clarity of the proposal
2. Feasibility of the outlined budget
3. The opportunity presented to enhance the Wesleyan educational and co- curricular experience, to gain new skills, to test or broaden areas of possible career interest (organized Jewish communal life and Israel)
