Schedule an Appointment

The Gordon Career Center offers a variety of career advising appointment types to help support your career development goals. Students can schedule advising appointments online on Handshake, via phone, 860-685-2180, or in-person during business hours.

  • Drop-Ins
A 20-minute session scheduled day-of only with a highly trained Peer Career Advisor is sure to get things moving in the most appropriate, personalized direction.
  • General Career Advising
After an initial drop-in appointment, undergraduate students and young alumni who wish to have a more in-depth conversation are welcome to schedule an appointment regarding questions related to self-assessment, choice of academic major, career guidance, networking, graduate school, job or internship search strategies, or career change.
  • Mock Interview
A Mock Interview is an opportunity to practice articulating your skills and experiences as they relate to a position.  When scheduling the mock interview, indicate the position/organization/fellowship/career field for which you wish to have a practice interview. Once scheduled, e-mail or drop off your resume and a position/program description at the Gordon Career Center at least 24 hours before the interview. If your resume is not received, the interview may be cancelled. Please dress for the actual interview if possible and bring a pen and pad of paper with you.
  • Pre-Business Appointments

Appointments with the Business Career Advisor can focus on any of the following:

    • Help identifying what area of business to focus on
