Phase 3: Researching Companies & Organizations

Learning about specific organizations can give you additional information and insight into different careers.  As we mentioned before, gaining an understanding of the missions, work delivery methods and goals held by employers raises a helpful question:  Can I see myself working to advance the objectives of this type of organization?  Be sure to look at any professional associations that relate to your career options.  Associations run important conferences that serve the field or industry and provide opportunities to network.  Some of them offer student memberships.
