Placing second in the 600m event in a Wesleyan team-record time of 1:37.22 during an invitational meet at Tufts Sat., Feb. 16, Stephanie O'Brien '08 (photo) bettered the record she set a year ago by almost a second when she was clocked in 1:38.21. In addition, O'Brien had the fastest Wesleyan split (:59.8) in the 4x400m relay as the group of O'Brien, Hannah Overton '11, Kiran Sheffrin '10 and Lynn Edmonds '11 broke the team mark by more than two seconds with a first-place time of 4:03.30. The previous mark was set 10 years ago. Overton also finished sixth in the 600m while Edmonds was part of Wesleyan's fifth-place 4x200m relay. The next action for the team will be at Smith Fri. and Sat., Feb. 22-23 for the New England Division III meet.
