First-place finishes by Tommie Lark '11 (main photo) in the long jump (22-3) and Sam Grover '08 (photo insert lower right) in the triple jump (44-6 1/4) highlighted the sixth-place posting by Wesleyan at the Reggie Poyau Invitational hosted by Brandeis Sat., Jan. 19. For Lark, it was his third straight top placing this season while Grover won for the first time indoors. He is a record-setting outdoor triple jumper for the Cardinals. In total, six individuals placed for Wesleyan along with two relays. Lark and Grover placed in two events as Lark was second in the triple jump while Graver grabbed sixth in the long jump. On the track, a pair of third-place finishes were turned in by sprinter Dan Manuyag '10 in the 55m (:06.74) and 200m (:23.80). The distance medley relay corps of Jonah Blumstein '09, Henry Kaplan '10, Chris Coleman '10 and Sean Watson '08 hit the tape in second place for eight team points. Wesleyan will host its second invitational of the season on Jan. 26 in the next outing for the squad.
