Trip to Florida Pays Off with Two Wins In Three Outings Including victory over Div. I Youngstown St.

Getting its trip to Florida started on the right foot, Wesleyan defeated Division I Youngstown St., 4-3, Tues., March 11. It was a dramatic turn-around from a year ago as the teams met on the identical day and Youngstown prevailed, 6-1. The fourth point came from #4 Graham Immerman with a straight-set win as both he and Schenkein lost just three games each during their respective matches. The Cardinals headed to Miami for their second outing, facing St Thomas (Fla.) Wed,. March 12. Wesleyan came through with a 7-2 decision. Matt O'Connell '09 (photo insert lower right) was the team leader as he took a straight-set victory at #1 and joined Matt Schaff '11 at #1 doubles for another triumph.
