Erasing all trace of its early season slump, Wesleyan racked up its fifth win in a row as Keisuke Yamashita '10 (#19, photo courtesy of SteveMcLaughlinPhotography.com) scored early in the first half and the defense, anchored by the shutout goaltending of Jamie Hiteshew '08 (three saves) did the rest. Still, Kyle Nuland '09 added a second-half tally to pad the lead in the 2-0 decision over Colby Sat., Oct. 6. In its last five games, the Cardinals have posted three shutouts and allowed just two goals while putting the ball in the net eight times themselves. Wesleyan has another important NESCAC matchup coming up Wed., Oct. 10 when the team hosts Tufts in a game to be webcast.
