
While the men took the weekend off, Lauren Russman '09 (photo) competed in her second tournament of the fall and posted a 79-85-164 total to finish in a tie for ninth among 57 players at the Williams Fall Classic Sat. and Sun., Oct 6 & 7. Her first-day score was one of only nine rounds in the 70s of the 114 rounds played during the tournament and represented a personal-best performance. Russman competed in the Wellesley Invitational Oct. 13-14, her final fall tournament. There she shot a 95-85-180 to place 22nd of 48 competitors. The men played in a four-way match at R.I.C. Fri., Oct. 12, scoring a 334 total to place second to Worcester St. (314), one stroke ahead of the host and 38 better than Mitchell. As he has all year, Dave Velardo '08 led the Cardinals with a 78, tying for second among the 20 players. The men close out the fall campaign with a trip to Brewster, Mass. for the New England Championship Mon.-Tues., Oct. 22-23.
