WHY I CHOSE WES:

My initial draw to Wesleyan was for the lacrosse team, but it very quickly turned into much more. I loved the fact that there was no core curriculum, and how Wes gives me the time and tools to find what I actually want to study. Take these reasons and pair them with the academic rigor, the amazing people I met during my overnight visit (something I would absolutely recommend!) and the strong sports programs, and it was a no brainer.

ACADEMIC
INTERESTS:

I am a Government Major, focusing on International Relations. These classes excite me the most, as class discussions can revolve around a current event happening in the world. With that said, the general education requirements do a great job of pushing me to try a whole spectrum of different courses, from economics, to English, to earth sciences. I have truly enjoyed being able to try out so many different fields.

FAVORITE CLASS:

Comparative Politics of Western Europe – Sarah Wiliarty

CAMPUS
ACTIVITIES:

Varsity Lacrosse
Tour Guide Coordinator
Intramural Basketball All Star

WHY I CHOSE TO BE A TOUR GUIDE:

Coming from the west coast, I remember my college process with little nostalgia. Trekking through what felt like dozens of east coast colleges in a week period was not only exhausting, but resulted in every single tour blending together. The only thing that could really set a school apart for me was the guide, as I would remember the individual and as a result, remember the school. I want to give this respite to perspective students by giving them an honest, relaxed tour. I love Wes, and I think you will too!

FAVORITE
MOVIE(s):

The Avengers

FAVORITE SONG:

The Cave by Mumford and Sons

FUN FACT:

I have never lost in the board game Stratego. Like, ever.
