WHY I CHOSE WES:

I chose Wesleyan because I wanted to be in an accepting and supportive environment that would allow for me to pursue my diverse interests and try new things without feeling self-conscious or intimidated.

ACADEMIC
INTERESTS:

I am currently an undecided major, but I’m interested in majoring in music and economics. I’m also considering pursuing a certificate in Social, Cultural and Critical Theory- there are just too many interesting fields too choose from.

FAVORITE CLASS:

My favorite class at Wes so far has been The Language of Hollywood with Professor Scott Higgins. It was my first film class, and it opened my eyes to the fascinating and vibrant world of film academia. Not only did I learn tons about film, I also learned that it’s totally okay to enjoy taking classes in a field that you’re not going to major in because the liberal arts education gives you room to explore various disciplines.

CAMPUS
ACTIVITIES:

Wesleyan Student Assembly
Women’s Crew Team
Korean Student Assembly
Women’s Club Soccer

WHY I CHOSE TO BE A TOUR GUIDE:

By being a tour guide, I get to meet talented students from all over the world and teach them about the wonderful place that is Wesleyan University. It also allows for me to remind myself –even on rotten days –with every tour why I love my school and why I’m lucky to be here.

FAVORITE MOVIE:

The Incredibles- I am a huge Pixar fan.

FAVORITE SONG:

Vultures by John Mayer

FUN FACT:

I climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in June of 2010.
