ACTIVITIES:
Simply put, I love to dance. I am a co-chair of
ISIS, the women of color dance troupe and a member of X-tacy, a co-ed hip-hop
dance group on campus. I’m very involved with affinity groups on campus; I’m
co-chair of WesQuisqueya, the Dominican Students Association and worked in the
Admissions Office as a Student of Color Intern for the past three years. I
helped coordinate programs that focus on recruiting students of color to
Wesleyan. On the weekends I am a house manager for the
Center for the Arts events. Occasionally I work as event staff for student organized
social events.
OUTSIDE WESLEYAN:
I have worked in the financial services industry for the last three summers. Most recently I had an internship with Goldman Sachs and previously I interned at Morgan Stanley for two summers.
FAVORITE CLASS:
I loved Introduction to Sociology because my professor was extremely engaging, the assigned reading was challenging, and the class emphasized discussion.
FAVORITE WESLEYAN EXPERIENCE:
I don’t have one Wesleyan experience that stands out above the rest. However, some of my favorite Wesleyan experiences have occurred during conversations in the classroom, lectures with guest speakers, during cookouts in my friends’ backyards, and while connecting with other Wesleyan students or alumni outside of the campus. |
AFTER WESLEYAN:
I am open-minded about my next steps after graduating, but right now I’m considering pursuing a career at a consulting firm. I plan to eventually pursue an MBA at a top-tier university.
