Marc A. Eisner

Eisner’s research addresses US political economy and public policy, with a focus on the dynamics of regulatory change. He is author or coauthor of ten books on topics ranging from the evolution of antitrust policy to the impact of war on statebuilding in the United States. His most recent books explore (1) how regulatory design decisions and polarization combined to create problems of regulatory drift and (2) the political economy of the national debt.

Marc Eisner is Henry Merritt Wriston Chair of Public Policy at Wesleyan University.
