Before coming to Wesleyan University, Chongyi Liang taught Chinese at the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University and Middlebury Chinese Language School including courses from elementary to advanced levels as well as Academic and Business Chinese. Her current research interests lie in applying Chinese prosodic grammar theory to Chinese pedagogy and developing techniques to address the nuances between colloquial and written Chinese. She is also a published novelist and enjoys translating literature into Chinese.
