Eudice Chong '18 to Play for NCAA Div. III Women's Tennis Title after Being Named NESCAC Player & Rookie of the Year

Eudice Chong '18 has gone 4-0 without dropping a set during the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championship in Mason, Ohio Thurs.-Fri., May 21-22 and will play for a national title Sat., May 23 against Bowdoin College sophomore Joulia Likhanskaia at 10 a.m. The match will be webcast. The two finalists have met twice this season with undefeated Chong (21-0) winning both outings, 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 during a match in Claremont, Calif. in March and 6-0, 6-1 in Middlebury, Vt. during the NESCAC team Championship May 1. Both players are first-team all-NESCAC selections in 2014-15 with Chong also named NESCAC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. In addition, Chong was chosen as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national Division III Rookie of the Year while Likhanskaia was named the ITA national Division III Player to Watch. The set won by Likhanskaia back on March 10 was the only set surrendered by Chong this year in singles play as she is 42-1 in sets in 2014-15.
