Extremely Veteran 2014-15 Women's Ice Hockey Hoping to Continue Promise Established during Banner 2013-14 Season

After producing an 8-11-6 overall record in 2013-14 which included a 5-6-5 NESCAC record, the team's best marks in both areas in 10 years, Wesleyan is eager to keep it going as 2014-15 approaches. Back are 22 letterwinners as only three players were lost to graduation, taking with them just six of the team's 49 goals scored a year ago. Also back are all three goalies, giving Wesleyan an extremely capable and experienced corps for the season ahead. Last year, Wesleyan posted at least a tie against all eight NESCAC rivals, something never before accomplished since the double-round-robin conference slate was established during the 2001-02 campaign. Leading the pack are co-captains and potent scorers Jordan Schildhaus '15 (#19, right side photo) and Cara Jankowski '15 (#9, left side photo). Schildhaus has been honored by the NESCAC each of her three seasons, earning second-team laurels in both 2013-14 and 2012-13 after debuting as NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2011-12.
