Robbie Harbison '17 Goal, Nolan Daley '16 Goaltending Help Cardinals Take Tufts to the Limit in Tough 3-1 Loss - Team Then Falls to Conn, 4-1

Avenging a 5-2 home loss against Wesleyan to inaugurate the 2014-15 campaign back on Nov. 15, Tufts grabbed the lead for good at 15:54 of the first period by putting home the rebound from in tight on the right after a pass from behind the net and the Jumbos went on for a 3-1 NESCAC men's ice hockey win Fri., Jan. 23. Tufts is now 6-8-1 overall and 3-5-1 in conference play. Wesleyan fell to 2-13 with its ninth straight loss, 1-8 in the league. Six of the Cardinals nine recent losses have come by two goals or less. The game vs. Tufts was basically a one-goal decision as Tufts picked up its final tally with :00.2 remaining the puck was sent from the Jumbos blue line into an open Wesleyan net as keeper Nolan Daley '16 (#30, main photo) had been pulled for the final :54 in favor of a sixth attacker. Daley came into the game with 13:24 left in the second period after Tufts moved ahead 2-0, also scoring on a rebound against starting netminder Dawson Sprigings '17 (10 saves in 26:36). Daley then kept Tufts off the board during his 32:09 in net, making 17 stops.
