Football Gets Two TDs from Kyle Gibson '15 & Jesse Warren '15 to Ben Kurtz '17 Combination to Subdue Hamilton, 43-21

Capitalizing on two interceptions to score 14 points and relying on an efficient offensive performance from QB Jesse Warren '15 (#2, left side photo throwing TD) and running back Kyle Gibson '15 (#24, right side photo scoring TD), Wesleyan improved to 2-0 on the football season and 8-1 in its last nine games at home vs. Hamilton with a 43-21 victory Sat., Sept. 27. Hamilton dropped to 0-2 on the year. Warren competed 12 of 14 passes for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns as he entered the game as the NESCAC's top QB for passing efficiency. He improved his 151.3 rating to 180.8. Gibson collected 132 yards from 22 rushes and scored twice on runs of one yard at 2:19 of the first period to put the Cardinals ahead for good, 14-7, and 28 yards at 4:47 of the fourth quarter to cap the Cardinals' scoring. Warren's TD passes both were flips of five yards to Ben Kurtz '17 in the second and fourth quarters.
