Biddiscombe Wrestling Room
Formally dedicated as the Biddiscombe Wrestling Room on October 19, 2012, the room in the far southwest
corner of the Freeman Athletic Center is the home of the wrestling team's daily practices from November through March. The 4,000-square-foot facility is named after John Biddiscombe, who joined the Wesleyan athletic staff in 1974 and spent 38 years employed at the college, 15 of them as head wrestling coach (1974-1989) and 24 as Director of Athletics (1988-2012). His 1983-83 wrestling squad captured a New England title and was inducted into the Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame in October, 2012, along with John Biddiscombe shortly after his retirement.
