The Office of Diversity and Institutional Partnerships, under the leadership of Sonia BasSheva Mañjon, PhD, is comprised of offices and centers that are collectively committed to advancing integrative learning and civic experiences. We provide opportunities for Wesleyan students, faculty and staff to engage with community organizations, schools, and local agencies in Middletown and surrounding areas.  As globalization redefines the classroom, workplace and community, the understanding and application of diversity and social justice in curricular and co-curricular activities becomes increasingly important.

Meet Sonia BasSheva Mañjon, PH.D.

Dr. Sonia BasSheva Mañjon, Vice President for Institutional Partnerships and Chief Diversity Officer, leads the campus/community engagement and diversity efforts at Wesleyan University.  Dr. Mañjon also serves as the Director of Affirmative Action, Title IX Coordinator and represents Wesleyan on various regional and national committees and associations. She and her staff are committed to enhancing relationships with private and public organizations as well as increasing diversity within the university through thoughtful outreach and programs.
