Women's Track Has Standout Effort in Little 3 Meet, Places 2nd, One Point Behind Williams - Adds 4 First-Places at Wes Invite I

With 17 events slated during the first-ever Little Three track championships held indoors, rather than the usual outdoor meet during the spring, Wesleyan took first place in seven events, matching Williams for first-place performances, but coming up a mere one point shy in the final team standings as Williams picked up 132.5, Wesleyan 131.5 and Amherst, 86. Three Cardinals were part of two Little Three titles each as Aidan Bardos '17 (main photo) ran away with the 800m crown by a three-second margin, then used her talent to anchor Wesleyan to a 4.6-second victory in the 4x800m relay. Both Alexis Walker '16 (photo insert lower left) and Orelia Jonathan '15 (photo insert upper left) came through with a pair of individual first places as Walker won the 60m dash in :07.92 and the long jump with a 17-4 leap. Jonathan was the winner of the weight throw (44-6 3/4) and the shot put (32-0 3/4). Wesleyan's other top prize came from Ellie Martin '17 in the 600m (1:40.00).
