THESIS:
 My thesis topic—Water and Women—explores the role of women in water theories and myths, and the physical embodiment of water as it pertains to the female body. In addition, I would like to coordinate a live art installation that expresses the power (physical and metaphysical) of water in relation to the body. 
ACTIVITIES:
 I am very active in Wesleyan’s student theatre scene. Through Second Stage, our student-run production company, you can usually find me in a couple of shows every semester. I have also worked in the Admissions Office the past two years as a campus tour guide, and tutor several students from Macdonough School.     
OUTSIDE
WESLEYAN:
 I dedicate most of my time to working on educational opportunities for kids in the Bronx. I spent last summer on an internship working with the Department of Environmental Protection and developed a strong relationship with SoBro, a community-based organization with which I worked on conflict resolution training, co-curricular and extra-curricular programming, and academic assistance. I also work closely with several 5th-grade teachers at Public School 97 through the science department.

EXPERIENCE:
 My freshman year, I was part of a presentation of The Vagina Monologues. It’s rewarding when you realize you can truly feel the emotions of a woman who is very different from yourself.      
AFTER
WESLEYAN:

I hope to get involved in redesigning the science curriculum in inner-city public schools. I strongly believe that future generations will define our major environmental concerns. The best way to intervene is to help children develop good habits from a young age. My goal is to develop a curriculum that would incorporate the use of garden and green spaces into everyday classroom activities in order to help address global issues such as the water crisis, food shortage, and climate change.
