Tied 10-10 with 14:13 left in the first half, the Cardinals got a free throw from Miller Hartsoe '15 (#12, left side photo), followed by a layup from Kaylie Williams '16 (#20, right side photo) for a 13-10 lead over St. Joseph (CT) with 13:29 remaining, igniting a 13-2 run over a span of 6:57 for a 23-12 advantage. Wesleyan held at least a nine-point lead from that juncture on en route to a 66-51 victory Mon., Dec. 1, to improve its all-time mark against the Blue Jays to 13-1. Williams led the Cardinals in scoring with 12 points, coming off the bench to play 20 minutes in her first game of the season after suffering an injury during the soccer season. She also collared eight rebounds as Wesleyan doubled-up on USJ with a 58-29 edge. Jess Cherenza '15 was tops on the glass with 13 rebounds.
