Dreisen Heath '15 Registers Season-High 19 Points as Cardinals Close out Season vs. Amherst

Registering a season-high 19 points the second-highest single game scoring for the Cardinals during the 2014-15 season, Dreisen Heath '15 (#13, photo upper left) paced the team in scoring during a game for the third time this season as Wesleyan fell in the season finale to ninth-ranked nationally Little Three foe Amherst at home Tues., Feb. 17, by an 83-53 count. Amherst goes on to the NESCAC tournament as the #3 seed. Wesleyan ended its year with a 9-14 overall mark, having posted a 2-8 conference ledger. Wesleyan hung with the Lord Jeffs for the opening 7:30, trailing 13-8, before a 13-4 Amherst burst extended the gap to 26-12, en route to a 39-24 halftime margin. After Amherst netted the opening 11 points of the second period for a 50-24 bulge, Wesleyan got no closer than 24 the rest of the game.
