Taking the Top 7 Spots, the Cardinals, Paced by Reid Hawkins '17, Secure Easy Win in Wesleyan Invitational

Capturing the top seven spots in a field of 33 runners, and pushing 11 runners over the tape among the top 12 finishers, Wesleyan had little difficulty claiming the top spot as a team in the 10th annual Wesleyan Invitational. Reid Hawkins '17 (#870, right in photo) came in 2.5 seconds ahead of Taylor Titcomb '16 (#875) to grab first place in the four-mile race. Rounding the final turn in the photo on his way to third place was Will Dudek '17 15 seconds off the winning pace. Completing Wesleyan's top seven in order were Tate Knight '18, Eric Arsenault '17, Keith Conway '16 and Shota Nakamura '19. The team scoring read Wesleyan 15, Wheelock 53, Post 76 and Mitchell no team score as four of its runners were disqualified for running off the course. The next activity for the squad will be a trip to Lehigh Fri., Oct. 2 to compete in the annual Paul Short Run.
